Hi Brandy.
I do retain water, and it seems my body really "punishes me" when I don't do what I'm s'posed to. lol.  This morning the scale moved in the right direction... I also think I'll start tracking on Daily Plate.  I really think part of it is I'm not eating enuf.  I'm not hungry, so I don't "think" about food.
My normal day consists of:
Protein shake (made with 4oz of water)
Yogurt
Protein shake (made with 4oz of water)
Chicken in a can w/ mayo
Protein shake (if I remember to make it)
String cheese or cheese single
Some sort of dinner (sometimes a smart one but I can't eat it all)

throughout the day I drink about 20 oz of crystal light, and two cups of tea with splenda and a splash of milk.
Though when I write it out it seems like alot. lol

So my dr has a pretty strict regiment of protein shakes / vits... well the past week I've been a little off track.  It's not that I'm eating that much really... and without the shakes maybe I'm just not getting enuf altogether... I have "gained" 4 lbs.

I am also due to start my period...

but are any others having any time with the scale going in the wrong direction....

I'm still proud of my loss to date, I'm going back to my shakes / vits and increasing my water intake, but it's still frustrating.

Thanks for listening...(reading)

Hey there, I wish I had some advice to give. I had surgery on the 18th and lost 40 pounds now. I am a slow loser too. I have no chocie but to beleive everyone else that it will come off. Everyone has told me to increse my protein if I am not losing. But I cant take them nasty drinks. So I try just to eat as much meat and thing high in protein. I know I still dont get my recommended amont. I go to the doctor on Monday and I will see what he says. You also can not judge yourself from whatever one else has lost because everyone is differ. We probally dont have as much to lose as the people that have lost alot more ( I know that is hard not to do) but just keep your head high and maybe we will get there......Good Luck and keep me posted. I stay hungery too. But I try to choose healthy foods.

Counting the weight I lost in my 1 week liquid diet prior to my 11.24th surgery I am down a total of 61lbs.  I started out with a BMI of 59 and now it is about 49.  I have to update my ticker still....
Congrats to all of you!  This is the best thing we could have done for ourselves!!!

just posted photos of my open RNY. One was taken a few days after surgery. Due to the tunneling, I still have an open wound, with a tunnel. I took three of the photos today.

Before WLS I was taking 14 pills every morning and another 9 at night.  I've been able to stop my diabetic meds (at least until March when I get repeat blood tests) and one of my blood pressure meds, but now I'm taking OptiSource vitamins 4x daily, calcium citrate 2x daily and sublingual B12.  I didn't need iron when I left the hospital, but I suspect the doc will have me restart it when I see him.
